.com in Japanese and Korean

Throughout the next year Verisign, the managing registry for .com, will be releasing the Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) version of .com in multiple languages. They have already released .コム which is .com in Japanese and on 16 May 2016 will release .닷컴 which is .com in Korean. These extensions are essential for any company that has a presence in these countries or has clientele whose primary language is Japanese or Korean. Each .com IDN launch will consist of the following four phases:

Sunrise Phase - Reserved for trademark owners that have a TMCH validated trademark
Priority Access Program - Owners of a .com domain can register the exact matching string
Landrush - Open to all at a premium price
General Availability - Open to all at the standard price

.コム is in the Landrush phase until 12 June 2016 and will be available at the standard price starting 13 June 2016.

.닷컴 will enter the Sunrise Phase on 16 May 2016 and be available to everyone on 30 August 2016.
